How to dodge (for racers/fubars/etc)

There are still a few players on the racing/assault server who don't know how to dodge properly so I thought I'd post this video.

Several years ago, back in my rocket bunny days, someone also pointed me to this tutorial and I found it very helpful =)

Double tapping forward and then jumping will allow you to dodge forward. Doing this is the premium mode of travel as it is faster than walking.

You can also accomplish this running method by moving forward and strafing in any direction then continue to strafe in a direction double tap forward jump and do air control with mouse. This is a bit more advanced technic but its benefits are a lot better as it allows you to stay on target or to get on target faster.

I can make a little clip to show the difference. I keep hearing people saying that forward dodge jumping isn't good enough. Its very effective if used correctly.

Anyone who wants to learn dodging should play trials sometimes such as TempleOfTrials. Nothing can teach you efficient dodging better than trial and error

yah AS-Templeoftrials-v4 is a pretty decent map to use for learning. If its to difficult can always give my really novice trial map a try.
