Redeemer FF - AS-Pieron's

(defender) Today I fired the redeemer near the stove in Pieron's House. My first deemer TK'd ~4 players. I was stunned and curious how it could have happened. My second redeemer killed the cake carrier and Eif and others approved by chatting, "ns, gj" etc. My third redeemer shot TK'd again and understandably everyone got a little rage'y.
I was aghast and openly apologetic. It was suggested that I was "stupid" and that I might be banned for TK. I empathize with their emotions but maintain I wasn't being thoughtless nor did I have a cognitive lapse.
I understood that the redeemer doesn't friendly fire. I thought perhaps my first tk shot was an some bizarre anomaly.
What did I do to cause that and how can it be avoided in the future.

If you die, any projectiles you fired lose their Instigator reference and will deal damage to all targets for as long as you stay dead.

Fire your nooks from a more secure location.

Yeah so it's a good idea to suicide when a teammate is 5m away from objective and your deemer is nearby

You can also go inside of a player and shoot the redeemer for better results
