@ Michie: I spectated you for a while lately.
It seemed to me that you could improve when you do this:
-Learn how to move using dodging as often as possible, you seemed to be very static to me. Practice against masterful level bots or invasion offline to dodge their shots and to always keep in movement. UT invasion is amazing for this, see how many rounds you survive, running and shooting forward...
Avoid two things that you do often:
1) staying in the same map area!!
2) Returning to fight!! If you move fluently you pass through or circle your target, not return to engage, this gets you killed very often as I saw.

-Aim with iron sights first, then shoot. Make this conscious and your immediate reaction. The first shot is the most important one, if you aim it and impact you'll get the most damage out. Take your time to shoot and do it properly because few shots on target are more effective than infinite not hitting, specially because you are used to shoot from hip. Hip should be the very last resource.

Once you adapt this as your normal play you'll boost your skill...

The best way to learn UT is to play duels with stock weapons against skilled opponents.
The more skilled they are the more you will learn. If you lose and the score is something like 14:16 it means your opponent is too weak for you. On the opposite, if your keyboard is filled with tears and the score is something like -2:50 then it was a good fight and you learned a lot.

People who play duels improve really fast. I rarely do it these days but when I do, even after two matches I feel more concentrated and play better.
