Map: RACE-SunOfTheCoaster

Credits: dark_elf(my first original map in years!)

Description: Sequel to my remake of scorpion coaster. Race map with 3 objectives/tracks. Trials map using emp scorpions.

Beta map Download(04/07/2014):Only two objectives completed so far. Not ready for server. Would like some feed back on tracks 1 and 2. Bugs,glitches, suggestions or whatever. Note there is some floating objects and a weaponlocker in spawn disregard them.

I've just played through this properly and I'm slightly concerned about objective 2. I do like the idea, but the physics seems to be slightly dodgy. I haven't managed to complete it. I think the twisty section at the start is good, but I have been randomly dumped out the car a few times (probably my own mistake). I haven't yet managed to complete the next section (the looped bit), and I can't decide whether the physics is bugged or whether it's just my own incompetence (car seems to get stuck between two physics zones).

Yah I'm still not happy with how the physic volumes are effecting cars there. I did a few tweaks just a moment ago (download link updated). Its a bit better but still the possibility of being ejected from car. The trick to it is to land on all four wheels when you go over the hill. Taking it slow is the key.

Edit: Also remember to use air control. Its a bit weird using air control when in first person but using air control to get the nose of the car up is what is needed to make it.

Could you not set the vehicles to be prison, a la the raptors, which would fix the problem? That would give you free reign without having to worry about issues like getting ejected randomly.

Just gotta change the objective to be triggered by the car which shouldn't be too hard for you guys :)

I always set objectives to be triggered by vehicle only. Also prison vehicles would have to be done by izumo or aza or whoever else does the nitro vehicles.

Its a new thread. Its a sequel to scorpion coaster. Its an original by me. Also for some reason I had a brain fart and called this thread SunOfTheCoaster.. should be Son.. SON! lol..
