Why did you guys decide to nerf the shield gun? what's wrong with the default one?

People who were crap at shooting would just resort to shield gunning their way through to objectives.

Yes, yes, we all know it has an EMP altfire. But that EMP altfire shits up vehicles - so I would actually support that idea :)

I cant even jump 1m with the shield gun. it is not a gun anymore

You do understand, don't you, that the shield gun's self-knockback is nerfed by default in Assault to prevent the kind of jump exploitation on Assault maps which destroyed UT99's Assault mode, right?

Overlord, Frigate, Mazon, Ballistic.... all fine maps. All ruined by impact hammer launching.

Aaah didn't know that, sorry. Since this is the only active Assault server, and i have never played AS in single-player mode, i thought you guys reduced the jump height.
