If the damage pickup is active (under appropriate game modes), the M46 scope is unusable because it has the same magenta sheen as the rest of the weapon.
This occurs with the M46 RDS, and I assume it applies to the standard M46 rifle too. Note that the XMk5 Sub Machinegun scope does remain usable when damage pickup is active, and I expected them to behave the same that's all.

Fixed on M46. Tried UDamage on MK781 and did not see any issue.

Oh, you refer to the incorrect transparency in general and not specifically to opaque sights.
