Ammo pickups

Something has to be done with ammo pickups, they spawn randomly and you never get what you want from them.
Ammo pickups are essential for the gameplay, for example, I remember where shock rifle ammo is located on many stock maps - rankin, ironic, grendelkeep, roughinery etc. The problem is, when I get there with FS I get ammo for mars3, when I get there with mars3 there's ammo for mars2. So when playing BW with pickups I usually just throw away my weapon every 2 minutes because I'm out of ammo. But the weapons spawn randomly as well, and I end up using almost every loadout weapon in a single match. Is it intended?
Because if not, I'd suggest combining all ammo of the same class into one pickup (make a new static mesh containing all of the existing ammo meshes or create some new class-specific ammo boxes "shotguns", "sniper rifles", "SMGs").
