My lastest game rig (retro gaming)

Hi I woke up this morning and really needed to show off this stunner. I'm sorry for showing off but where else better than a gaming forum?

Original early 1980's Defender in perfect condition! All original (apart from new paint job) and even the serial numbers match in and out. So if you don't see me on the race/ass server it's because this machine is bashing me up.

Any arcade gamers here?

Forgive my ignorance, but does it require coins to play?

hehe no but the coin thingie still works tho.

I was hoping we had some arcade players here, as I've found a tiny problem with it.

Pretty sweet cabinet Mini!

I like arcade games a lot, but this is a bit too old for me :D But I guess you have nostalgic feelings about the classic game of defender ;)

Most of the time my money went into games like Virtua Racing, Daytona USA, Sega Rally, Mortal Kombat I and II, Virtua Cop I and II. Let's say I spent a lot of Saturday afternoons in the arcades between 92 and 97 and liked the driving and shooting games the most, playing Virtua Cop with two guns on a huge screen was (and still is) amazing :D

Well you have all mentioned loads of good games, Mortal Kombat was great! The racing games were always my fav too.I never had much money when I was young so I would master one game at a time. 10 pence could last about 4-5 hours on Defender between two or three people that had mastered it. I once clocked it years ago but I can't now.

I'd love to get more arcade games, but I want to go traveling soon so storage would be a problem.

How much did it cost?? £1500 It cost far too much but I hope it's an investment. Trying to find a good one like this in the UK was hard going, it took me years.

I was really good in one called virtua fighter when I was a kid... I was playing hours against the machine and opponents that made line to play against me in the arcade... one single coin and played for hours....
