Greed, ban appeals are for the banned player and the gods... please leave!
Just trying to think of a way to persuade you to stop embarassing yourself. You know i've always been on your side but that compulsive flame is completly unnecessary now. Chill, go do something and come back when you will not feel like a total cunt. Ill gladly play with you then. Aza and Earl would probably think twice now.
I'd like to object that this conflict has nothing to do with balance, and never had. People tend to get breakdowns and we are taking the worst possible route to deal with it. Just give him a mute and let him get over it without bothering anyone.

I'd say give him a chance under following conditions:
A: try to not bend the game to his favor (delibirately voting known flawed maps in which DS is strong, not switching teams etc.)
B: not lose a single word about balance changes (any weapon, not only DS)
If either condition is not met, then the ban takes place. Worth a try? After all, he admitted his faults.

I can't say I agree with a permanent ban, it's clear that emotions are running wild here, and to judge someone in that state is harsh.

For clarification - I am not in favour of a permanent ban. I accept the apology regarding in-game behaviour, although I will accept whatever time-scale Azarael feels appropriate.
My opinion regarding the homophobe jibe will not be changed. It's too far now.
