Today tried to join server, but had 2 errors about damaged files (utcompr04 and LDGGame14). As I know not only me had the same.

So how to fix it. First of all close UT2004. Open UT2004 folder, then folder System. Find LDGGame14.u and utcompr04.u and delete them. If there are no such files open folder Cache (also un UT2004 folder) and clean it.

Launch UT 2004 and try again. If problem still appears it probably means that you have not enough skills to find and delete that fucking files. Download new correct versions utcompr04.u and LDGGame14.u. Close game and put them in System folder which is in UT2004 folder.

As doing that hasn't changed anything, I still get the
Failed launching URL Package 'utcompr04' version mismatch package message.

additionally if LDGGame14 is current how cone i had LDGame10 installed, and utcompro1 not 4?

not forgetting right up to today it was working just fine.

does putting Oldz on do anything to your system?

I'll add that Invasion & MOD server work, its just BW1 & Racing/AS that don't.

Old files you got when tried to configure offline playing. Forget about them now.

Guys, if you install the packages to System folder, you'll have to delete them if they were updated on the server. That's a standard procedure and it always was this way. If you don't extract them, then there's no problem.

Buy Mac. You never have these problems playing UT.

I haven't installed anything anywhere different to how it automatically goes, fact is, I've searched my entire PC, the file utcompr04 is not on my PC, furthermore if I d/load the one included by Den & place it in system its still not recognised, yet not 24 hours earlier I was playing with no issue, I haven't changed anything to stop things working, has the Server? Is the server sending files out correctly?

How can I resolve this issuew, because I cannot join BW1 or Race/AS servers

Delete the file causing the mismatch
Success

Now these files were modified again, so delete what I sent. Try to search on PC files with UXX extension and delete them all. Don't worry, these all files are ut cache.

Open My Computer, in top right there is search. Type here "*.uxx" and press enter. Wait untill search will finish, it can take several minutes. Then delete all files which will appear in the list.

Also try the same search but type not "*.uxx" but "utcompr04.u" and "LDGGame14.u". And also delete.

And aslo with closed game.
