RACE-Scorp-Hop

Map: RACE-Scorp-Hop

Players: 2-32
Description: Bunny hop your scorpion in the most bland environment you could have in racing. Giving the people what they want(simple no eye candy nonsense levels)!

Note: Testing on mod server in a moment or two, if all goes well, will put into map rotation on race server.

Just got done testing on mod server here is what I got on my list of request changes:

-Spawns for top base don't enable fast enough and vehicles spawn on a delay compared to bottom base.
-Moving track has bad collision.
-Access to special button can be reached faster by top base.
-Special button can be pressed to quickly. Need to balance.
-Needs EMP vehicles vs quantum.

Won't get to this project till tomorrow. So if anyone who tested has anything else that I might of missed post away.

Change Log:(I got some time this evening so I managed to do most of the fixes tonight)
-Swapped vehicles from quantum to EMP. Because EMP is the BEST!
-Path to special button can no longer be shortcut-ed.
-Special button now has a 4 min delay between presses. (May balance this differently in future but for the time being I think this is suitable.
-Special button effect now works better then before. Cars will fly!
-Track collision has been corrected I think. Will need to test online to see if its still a problem or not.
-Spawns and vehicle spawns now work as intended.

Note: Obj 3 elevator can still allows vehicles to fall through. However you really have to push the limits to make that happen. Not much more I can do to fix it other then remove that element.

Change Log:
-Added cp's to prevent potential obj camping if a player decides to go to next track and not do obj1.
-Made last obj possible with low nitro level(emp vehicles sucks in this regard)
-Weapon lockers now have link gun and barrel rifle
-Added a trial element to get to special button. Note: Will need to tweak reset time on special button depending on how map does in main population.

I'll most likely be out for the rest of day so map is on server however not in any voteable map list. If any admin wants they can put it on mod server for testing(and main server if it all works). I ran out of time and wasn't able to do a play test.

Edit: Map passed my testing so its on main server. Enjoy failed bunny hops in scorps.
Note: This will probably be the last of these short simple garbage levels. Think I proved my point that the general population just wants quantity over quality. I'll go back to working on my bestfishingspot map.

It's like all things, if you spend any time on something it gets old fast, new maps are eagerly welcomed because it makes a change - of course it's nice if said map is quality, but you know what? you don't need groovy graphics to make good gameplay.

Change log:
-Blocking volumes extended into bases to prevent dimbo's from using barrel launcher in spawn room(ie: harassing there own team with tons of barrels).
-Added additional blocking volume and modified existing blocking volumes to prevent potential exploits.

Note: Valid concerns have been made over the barrel gun. Its cool and I actually didn't intend to put it in this level but it made it in none the less. But now that players have become aware of it they have taken to spamming the thing as much as possible. So may have to nerf or remove in the future if general population can't figure out how to use the gun in a logical way. I don't think its as bad as the cow gun. At least with the barrel gun you can just drive around a stationary object the barrel gun lays out.

Given the level has no natural barrels, don't think the barrel gun is an issue. With no obstacles it's a 3 min map, and you can just shield through them anyway.

Removing map from playlist. Received complaints but no actual tangible feed back so can't even give a reason. When Admins start giving proper feed back other then "map sucks" or "remove this shit", then I can do some fixes. Until then there is nothing I can do.

Wow that's odd, I've played it a few times the last day or so and even I can do the objs so its clearly not a difficulty thing, I wonder if it's the barrel gun, you can pretty much barrel up a whole stepping stone with it if you're that way inclined.

Map itself is fine though, it's certainly not a map sucks one.

I'll add that no players were crying about anything in it either, beyond the usual stuff you get on any jumping map.

In a effort to please both sides(people who support map and those who have unknown complaints about map). I'll put map back into rotation. However if a reason is given as to why map should be removed, I want to hear it and will act in the best interest of server.
