Hey guys,

A long while has passed since my notebook told me that it wants to change it's owner.

Therefor I thought of buying a new one and naturally I asked myself:
Which laptop should I buy?
The main idea is to buy one from Dell and it should cost max. about 600€

I came up with the 'DELL XPS 15 L502x'
What do you think about it? Any other suggestions?

PS: the notebook will mainly be used for work/school/study. I'm not sure about gaming yet but I got my pc for that, don't I? ;)

Looking forward for your answer,
Takeo

So, I've looked at it and I'm not sure it would fit for what you plan to do. On the tests I have looked at, it is said that it is a bit heavy (around 3kg, but maybe it's ok with you...), the sound is good but not if you use a headset, it becomes noisy when the fan of the graphic card is activated and the autonomy may be a bit short (around 4 hours with a continued use).

Now I don't know what you want to favour: the weight? the sound? the video? the included software? the silence?
Will you use it at school? In this case a laptop based on the Inspiron15 model seems more suitable because lighter. But it's up to you.

I myself use Dell Vostro 3750 (variant: i5-2410M, Integrated GPU + GeForce GT 525M, 4GB RAM). Currently it costs 21 000 CZK (cca 840 Euro). Its 17.3" and has matte display (main thing why I wanted it). Primary use is work/school.

Videocard: NVIDIA GeForce GT540M 1GB
