Re: UE4 Thread
It's got a black box and it's an EXTREME EDITION!
So it's worth it.

Typical iPhone mind. They pick shinier and worse things. Clearly, choosing board with SLI and second GPU is better than a shiny processor.Calypto wrote:But the 3930k can't into $1000 and black box

A single and better GPU > SLI 2 GPUs half of the better GPU's performanceIzumo_CZ wrote:Typical iPhone mind. They pick shinier and worse things. Clearly, choosing board with SLI and second GPU is better than a shiny processor.Calypto wrote:But the 3930k can't into $1000 and black box

I heard the GTX 570 isn't that bad for its price ($279.99)

Re: UE4 Thread
Wow, the latest is the GTX 690 and we still have far to go for the 860. If you pay for a $500 processor and two $500 GPUs they will bottleneck themselves hard, which is why you need a 3690x.

While ignoring Calypso's and iZumo's discussion...
Wow, I'm amazed. UE4 looks so sick... but what kind of hardware will be needed to play with reasonable FPS like the guy's PC on the first video? I'm sure it must be a PC breaking the 3.000 $ / € line.

Re: UE4 Thread
Actually no. I was trolling, you'll only need about $1200-400 worth of hardware.Mecha wrote:While ignoring Calypto and iZumo's discussion...

i7-3820 LGA2011 and Radeon HD 7850 paired up is only $560, not including mobo and other components should be enough for you to hit 50 fps on high. Keep in mind that X79 mobos are about $200 starting.
