Saw it on the news.
The ironic thing is that like 3 days ago I was chating with some guy from US and he was proud that his country gives easy access to armed weapons for civilians...

When you are able to get guns w/o license, things like that will happen.

And when guns are illegal crime is committed with knives, or black market guns.

What gun control advocates never mention is that in a field where EVERYONE is armed and prepared to use their weapon, no one individual can massacre others with such ease. Those who refuse to carry or use weapons are part of the problem. The optimum situation is one where all humans have the same ability to exert force upon others.

I don't think a school full of guns is really a good idea. Accidents can and will happen. When an accident involving a gun happens in a building full of kids, its a bad deal.

However, I agree with you Azarael that its not the guns at fault, its the horribly ineffective methods being used for gun control that is the problem. If someone wants to kill another, it hardly makes a difference what weapon they use, the intent is still there.

As we've seen, any space designated gun-free is a target for massacre. At least some personnel on site must accept their responsibility to protect the children and the other staff. I would be extremely surprised if there is no strategy which can be used to have armed defense within schools.

Except that the madmans won't get the guns, and oftenly won't be able to kill with a knife (concerning the Chinese article, it says WOUNDED, not KILLED).

So you're telling me that a citizen, that purchased gun and is without any training, likely never shooting the gun, will be able to keep his head calm and interviene?
