Microsoft selling information to NSA

Post by Calypto » Thu 11 Jul , 2013 10:12 pm

The Guardian has revealed only minutes ago how Microsoft helped US authorities spy on people, including bypass its encryption before products were even available to the public.
It even allowed them to intercept Skype video conversations, not just audio. In fact, Skype has a specific function built in that switches the encryption from client-side to server-side so that it can be broken without even needing a court order, see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skype_secu ... _by_design.

Reminder: the Kinect camera sensor and microphone are on 24/7, even when the console is turned off. It is of such high detail it even detects your heart beat.

And here I thought that Google had finally overtaken Microsoft as the most evil company in the world of technology. Guess I was wrong, though we still don't know the extent of Google's cooperation with the NSA. Zerohedge claimed yesterday that all Android phones run NSA code.
Also, Izumo's Android has a NSA backdoor

Evil... is unavoidable if you use anything that has a digital imprint... is there something that can be done besides not using any product? any computer? any credit card? any bank?... without leaving this planet?
