[Split] TAM/AM discussion
If you modify LDGGameBW, add TAM and AM support and aimed death messages to the other gametypes, please. UTComp's death message class will handle them.
EDIT by IZUMO:
Poll added. TAM is like Freon, only you die right away instead of freezing. AM is round based "last man standing".

Player 1: "Oska_is_a"
Player 2: "big_crybaby"

Rule 3j) surely ?
Funny, though.

Hilarious, but surely time for a merge now. I did the same when I had #2 and #3.

Re: Discussion - The Killstreak System
I don't think it's a wise idea to add TAM or AM to BW #1 actually and TAM will cause the lesser skilled ppl to RQ.Azarael wrote:If you modify LDGGameBW, add TAM and AM support and aimed death messages to the other gametypes, please. UTComp's death message class will handle them.
Yeah gotta finish that update, lol.Azarael wrote:Hilarious, but surely time for a merge now. I did the same when I had #2 and #3.

Re: Discussion - The Killstreak System
Can we try it rather than use a predicted reaction as reason not to add it?

Re: Discussion - The Killstreak System
We have actually discussed that before and concluded to leave the gametypes be as they are now. Besides no skill system for TAM atm.Azarael wrote:Can we try it rather than use a predicted reaction as reason not to add it?

Re: Discussion - The Killstreak System
I feel that TAM would actually cause people to RQ less than you think. Lower skilled players can, will, and do spend the majority of the freon rounds frozen, while a group of 2-3 people just thaw one person over and over. This results in 3+ minute rounds all the time.
TAM rounds would be over much more quickly, which means actual play time for everyone will increase exponentially.
Not to mention there is no incentive to hide and stall rounds out, which just makes people have to sit and wait even longer.
If you took the average freon game, someone with 5.xx skill or less probably spends well over 70% of the game frozen. Is that desirable?
