OLDZ week instead of just a weekend

Favour of OLDZ week if it does not include Megafun, and the option for standard RACE is maintained.

Yah, I was more or less supporting the idea of an extra day or two. a whole week is a bit over kill. I would be more in favor maybe 3 days Saturday through Monday. Also keep in mind that this is just for the olds assault map list. Not megafun race.

When I voted, I immediately thought about Megafun a whole week But OLDZ for 1 week is also too much. But 3 days with 1 OLDZ day only, it could be interesting to see if people are really interested in OLDZ or only Megafun...

For the record, if we discredit assault and race players from participating in ballistic or invasion related polls, the same should apply the other way, as such the majority of the 'no' votes in this poll are invalid and worthless.

Anyway, I've been expecting this particular vote for a very long time. We'll need a new name for "racers", because they clearly don't want to race. I'll need some time to think about what to call players who just want to camp in base and shoot their beams at cars coming out on a linear path. "Noobs" comes to mind, but it's not specific enough.

The poll should also be clarified, it is unclear if you are voting for Megafun RACE week, which is vehemently unappealing. OLDZ in addition to RACE is acceptable.

I'd also like to know why people are voting. This is part of the reason voting is such utter bullshit. I see a vote from Tehnix for OLDZ, and I doubt that's because he loves OLDZ so much. I'd be inclined to say that's got something to do with headshotting people out of scorpions on defense or to do with the OLDZ AS maps. Neither of those reasons scream "I am a noob who likes to camp in base with my twin beams, the regular game is too hard ((((((((" If they can't offer a decent reason, they shouldn't be able to drive-by click an option and have that opinion respected.

I'd like to see the poll remade to actually reflect the reasons why people are voting, rather than just "lol yes / no nuff said xDDDDD"

I've seen Lizat and Yanriel on the server. Lizat plays later, at about Genesis time. I'm given to understand that giZmo plays when Eiforia and Earl do.

Alright, so I dont know if I should create a new more serious poll, explaining that this is just for the OLDZ list and not for Megafun (which I actually already said in the original post) and asking for the actual reasons why people want or dont want oldz for one week (or at least a few more days).

I created this thread in the first place because:
- This months oldz weekend Ive played two maps I havent played before at all wondering how many more are out there.
- They were challenging and not just "a matter of time" like all maps in the current RACE list are.
- OLDZ AS maps are also fun for one week.
- Many maps in the OLDZ list dont exist (modified) in neither the AS nor the RACE list so you can only play them for 2 days a month.
- I am no longer obliged to obey the rules and can follow my god given desire to glitch/spawnkill/etc
- Nostalgia! It reminds me of the good old days on the UTzone Race server without any gameplay related rules and an endless list of good (imo) maps to choose from.
