Because I disagree with the idea that you get to outvote, rather than discuss, changes you don't like. It's the reason why so-called "democracy" involves electing the person you prefer rather than holding referenda on each and every issue. I didn't waste my time reworking UHZ, for example, so that people could vote the base version because they get more kills in it. I know full well that bad people prefer bad maps.

I wonder whom you consider bad people.Azarael wrote:I didn't waste my time reworking UHZ, for example, so that people could vote the base version because they get more kills in it. I know full well that bad people prefer bad maps.

Spill the beans, then. If you're referring to ehi because of his high skill, know that he is a self-confessed camper and alludes to such in his post. On Goliath you'll find him rooted to the exit of the central lift.

some maps are fun just because there are areas in which you can camper ... I do not see any major problems, there is already the anti-camper ...more killings more fun...for all...If don t play, quit and stop.

Im sure i had this idea while ago but no.Calypto wrote:I like this idea. Why can't we have both versions of UHZ, Aztek, etc. if the LDG vote mutator supports graying out both maps when one version is played?ehihehih wrote:Want to create an alternative? changed name and leave the original!

Re: Decreasing playerbase
Nobody forced me to do anything, I did it because of an intent to improve the gameplay and flow in those maps - you know, the same reason I try to balance the game - and it speaks volumes that nobody can actually marshal a proper argument as to why and how I fucked up. All I ever get back was "the old version was fun / funny". Fun in this context is a code word for "map had a low skill ceiling, which means I get kills" or "map has flaws, but those flaws suited me and I'm going to cry because you removed them.
" That fucking brick path is the most perfect example of this entire phenomenon - you can't dodge in it, you can't jump in it, you can't move in it. Perfect for people who are shit, because that means that everyone is forced to W+M1 just like they do.
If you're trying to get me to back down over this, at least be direct and stop trying to use "fun" as a code word. Tell me directly that the old map was shit and flawed, but those flaws are the very reason you voted it. That way, both you guys and I save our time.

Prove me wrong.
as it was before!
why you feel the need to ruin the maps (always highly rated by all, bad and good players) ? just because you make a lot of kills? is not a stupid reason?
if the map has bugs, it should be correct..
I was talking in general, and in particular I was thinking of "osiris" when the roof was accessible ... so I do not know what you mean

just adapt.. all maps are fun... at least I don't mind the challenge of finding the hot spot in a modified map...
