Something seems to be dodgy with the voting weights for this. It'll drop to 0.5 or even 0.3 after only a few maps, but Assault and Race never seem to drop below 1. Hell, assault even goes close to 2.0 even when its played regularly.

When Oldz happens so rarely it'd be nice if we got to play more Oldz maps instead of just having to play the same crap anyway.

And Ballistic Weapons.

Thats mostly because pretty much all OLDZ maps are shit in construction and/or balance, the whole point of OLDZ is to have a laugh, sit back and lame'a'lot and remind our players how the server looked before we introduced the RACE gametype. OLDZ gameplay works more like a "kindergarden" where you can do whatever you want glitch/spawnkill and not care about us taking administrive action against you, when on regular RACE/AS you would be ban hammered in a blink of an eye. Also another reason for the low vote is that the maps tend to be horribly unbalanced and/or have atrocious bottlenecks/spam-points where a team can get stuck for the whole time. Still for some reason many people actually puts on a "SRSGAMER" face when playing them.

JK, people vote race anyway. It being in a different vote menu, a lot of people dont even realise it is there.

As stated by Socio, OLDZ is just to piss around. To put there some limit, the vote weight decreases to 0.5 if played once out of last 4 games or to 0.3 if more than once out of last 4 games.

Wahey, knew I had a topic for this.

Given how popular Oldz is - I am motioning that we have it biweekly rather than monthly. Oldz-Assault was actually played more than Oldz-genericshitrace too, I believe!

Well ehm, I for myself think that Megafun camp gets boring quickly. However I myself don't really mind. Anyway OLDZ is Bono's project, so let's leave it on him.

It's been known for a while that noobs will favour gametypes with low skill ceiling and abuse potential. If you're happy supporting that, go ahead. Convert BW#2 to Oldz and let's get these shit noobs off the main server.

nope.avi, haven't you noticed how the sole AS server went? With OLDZ, even the remaining plrs who tried to get it populated wouldn't go there. I think Socio explained the purpose of OLDZ well, if it's too much, then it gets boring. There is still "EMP Megafun Solobender" hidden somewhere in the NV troll2
