Re: Ballistic Bro Changelogs Discussion
I'm reluctant to accept criticism from you particularly, because you demonstrate very frequently that you have no idea what the hell you're talking about. A good example is how you are convinced that every patch I make somehow nerfs the Firestorm even when the weapon hasn't been changed damage-wise in months. When I hear from players who are actually reliable in their feedback, I will make adjustments, but you have proven yourself to be heavily biased in the past and so I won't act based on your word alone.
A small subsection of the community is convinced that you shouldn't ever have to change your loadout to deal with situations in the game involving different maps or different enemy loadout. I do not share this view.

Why would you need to change your loadout when you have enough slots to cover every scenario? Pick a scoped rifle and a shotgun, with a good sidearm and you're covered for any map. Source: me, it's how I play.

And indeed, situations where a loadout swap is required are rare, but I do actually hear as a counterargument sometimes "I shouldn't have to change my loadout to deal with x".

One primary slot only would solve so much tears and complaints.

What I read here is that you have an issue with me particularly... My intention is and was to help the community with balance, exploits, bugs, etc... at least reporting them. You accuse me constantly of being biased, unreliable, between other things...Azarael wrote:I'm reluctant to accept criticism from you particularly, because you demonstrate very frequently that you have no idea what the hell you're talking about. So, save it for your own EGO, I will not further participate with my comments...
Ahh, btw, I change my loadout every time, depending on map and opponents, even if I am considered by you a shit player, unfortunately It cannot be done anymore within the round... But I comment on this to reflect that your statements and your perception of me, are as perfect as your actual balance.

Never called you shit, merely stated that QiSi is better than you. Showing that he owns noobs on a map the Z250 is designed for shows me nothing. However, I stand by my other views.

I'm sure nobody hates you here Butcher, and Aza appreciates your bug reports, but to help balance a weapon takes a bit more than judge it by someone else's play. Try it yourself, spend a few days exploring it's possibilities and if your performance will turn out to be above average for you, nobody will call you biased when you say it's overpowered.

Re: Ballistic Bro Changelogs Discussion
OK, seriously speaking now.
The only way to prevent any bias is using math, folks (i.e. heuristics to predict player weapon handling, using player's skill, weapon properties, enemy distance). Well made math is going to be powerful tool, however will take some time + experiments to make to develop it (I'd imagine something like scripting a bot to move in specified pattern (without shooting you), then having players with variant skill trying to kill it etc. to tune up the heuristics).
Like it or not, everything else is subject to bias. I'd actually really question bias on "wanting players to use the new content", as it's not the first time there are OP complaints. It's afterall nothing suprising to see as nobody would want to make a new weapon only to be unused by players.

Re: Ballistic Bro Changelogs Discussion
Two things to this: new weapons will be under a lot more scrutiny because it is new and generally going to be used a lot, so its going to be more noticed when you die from it, and there will be plenty of deaths from it. Second, we dont have any sort of testing team, we cant get it perfect right out of the gate. We don't deliberately over power new weapons to get usage though, if that's what you're wondering.Izumo wrote: Like it or not, everything else is subject to bias.
