I am annoyed because lately I have to set my loadout for me to be able to counter the nano.
iRobot wrote:Now that knives have been dealt with (I assume the change is reliable - I do not know what was changed), the next target should be the Nanoblade.

There should not be any weapon in the game that oneshots people at full health, with the exception on the LAW and maybe a railgun head shot. Getting one-shotted from full HP is just frustrating and does not take any skill for the user to do (Sprint and left click)
...
2 years later, same shit different day.... Nano is even improved by side and backstabbing additional damage... fts
But wait, isn't it more likely to be hit in the back and/or in the side while running???...so if you trying to avoid it or run away, then it gets more damage... hilarious...
Besides the range is outrageous, I was once killed in Highlander in the middle floor of the elevator shaft from the first floor entrance, no jumping ,nothing, a swing from the elevator entrance door (yes, from the first floor to the second!!!)...

So the tactic is: sprint and swing once in range (shotgun range) after hitting with minimum 140 hp then, if the opponent was not instantly killed, can be finished with any spam weapon that is switched immediately. Nano should have some time delay to switch, as the LAW. And even when it has that annoying sound, it does not sound when is located behind you...

I'm not sure if there is someone looking at balance but for sure this one is OP.

I think you remember that very match on DM-Remedy where I was able to keep up my score by using solely Nano:

Nano is sort of a joke in its current state fts, it won't change unless someone decides to nerf it and make it useless.

It will get replaced by another sword sooner or later. Hopefully, it will be worth the wait.

Nano is countered by any melee weapon with block ability, completly destroyed by the shield and is quite difficult to use vs the defibrilators. Yeah, almost any weapon in the first slot, you probably carry some of these but never bother to switch when you encounter it. Most of the players can see me before i get in range.

The shotgun in the pistol slot is capable of dealing around 160 dmg in one shot instantly as far as i remember. Most of the weapons also have a strong melee now, AK stab is comparable in power to a front nano stab and it doesnt require any sacrifices from the user. You can achieve nanoblade-level results just by getting into melee range and hipfiring the redwood coach, getting the nasty bleed as a bonus, and a considerable amount of room for backpedaling. It is also equally good as a mid-long range wep, so you dont waste a whole slot.

I am adapting my strategy taking risky routes and neglecting the early securing of important positions, leaving myself with less options for the unexpected scenarios, exposing myslef as an easy target, abandoning the proxy healing and quick thawing benefits, putting lots of effort into sneaking in well and even then risking getting rekt with no return by minor ping issues or just a random jump. Meanwhile someone is just standing in a juicy spot not far from the team and the spawn, sniping or spamming, not paying any attention to whats going on, emptying the clip and peacefully reloading. Now when i get past all the defences, delivering my unprotected ass to the group of enemies, this guy lazily turns around and expects a fair fight. He just wants to walk aside a little, hipfire and collect the reward.

Furthermore, my kill is just a short delay for him in most cases, while my death is usually a full term of waiting, and even a potetial round loss, because our team does not control the area.

You say that i mostly focus on OP weps. I pick the unusual weps which almost no one uses and i do exploit peoples unwillingness to adapt. I had no issues playing against bombs or blind. I dont have issues playing against turrets, xmv or nano. I never felt completly cornered when facing them, i just changed my strategy and watched the user stop trying. When i face the weapon and understand that there is no proper way to deal with it, i stop using it - current e90 and tazer as examples.

It actually does 154 if you stand next to the target, but I've never seen it in real fight. I think it's effective range at which the damage is above 100 is about the same as DTS range.

Well of course the nanoblade is broken beyond belief, but there is no point complaining about this Butcher. I've accepted the truth - too many of the remaining players have no consideration for the enjoyment of others, and play purely for the satisfaction of gaining easy kills under the false illusion that this is actually fun. You can't argue against such an ideology.

Maybe you can sneak with the shotgun and surprise him with a killer shot!....
Ow wait, no displacement, no movement aid, no back"shooting" side "shooting", and maybe they can retaliate. Owwww and no instagib, he/she will probably survive the shot and have the chance to do something.

And to sneak in a full server is not to sneak, you just run and stay in populated or common areas. Hide and wait in corners and corridors (a good example Highlander). Besides, you don't normally use Nano in big open sniping maps like blackhalk, rail, goatswood, or Dust, less sneak to the "comfortably" and "lazy" sniping players. You guard frozen opponents and stay around while they come to thaw.

Not really, I've always been against 1 shot 1 kill weapons. Use the forum search, you'll find plenty of times I've said it in many different ways, and still stand with that opinion: There should not be any weapon in the game that oneshots people at full health!

.= Come out of your layer and play Oska, I miss to kill you in game ....
