So how far would the assault rifle effective range now be after the change is in effect?

So battle rifle attenuation kicks in at approx 1/4 of LG range?

Going to be interesting if true. Is the damage dropoff instant or gradual?

Linear interpolation over a secondary range. In the case of battle rifles the start range is 5120 and the dropoff range is 6144, meaning the weapon does its lowest damage after the sum of both.

Then the change will not be as noticeable as I had hoped and will only come to play on a tiny sum of maps.
