The first idea has occurred to me as well, but the intention of hipfire was that a means of controlled attack from UT2004's full range of movement would exist. Otherwise we've got CoD with dodge jump.

The second idea is close to the route I'm considering.

Mnnnn, so why to select this two weapons now? Fast rate, highly inaccurate, short range and low ammo. Better to use SAR: Similar rate,higher accuracy and range, similar ammo amount.

I would like to complain that the melee is not working as before: It does not hold to be released, but just makes a swing on release of button command. As is takes away the charging melee functionality for a surprise element.

likeaboss Also CYLO UAW, the shotgun does not work on empty primary. Which is a big disadvantage. As I understood you were changing only the "looks" of the CYLO weapons and not their functionality. So you set a scope for you not to see, and the accuracy is lower than most assault rifles (namely M46,M46A,SAR,M50,MARS3), and the shotgun does not work when need it...

Why don't you nerf A73? clearly OP and everyone is using it now along with the coward couch. You modified all shotguns such that there is no sense in using them, but coach is 1 shot 1 kill from close, disorienting, and persistent. And recharges automatically very fast.

I think is bugged. The recoil is far higher now than before.. SK becomes too inaccurate after the first shot now.

Have to agree - shotguns are very disappointing even in close range. I barely see people using shotguns anymore. Regarding the coach, almost every time I get hit by a coach gun I either die or lose most of my health. Regardless of my health/shield figures.

Reasoning behind 59/XRS ammo nerf was that both weapons had extreme power and were very forgiving of misses with respect to their ammo count. Having high-powered close combat weapons proves dangerous for the game, so there needed to be some harsher penalty for inefficiency and spam with them. Honestly, the concept is pissing me off enough that I might just whack them both into the sidearm slot, where they'll be whored but for a different reason.

Shotguns are rare because machine pistol spam is easier for most people. That said, I'm not having much success with SK-410 either.

The A73 was already nerfed.

I have nothing against you and my intention is not of insult... please read the text as "balance criticism" ,AND FOR SURE I'm not implying in any case that You make balance changes for your own benefit, what I'm implying is that you ain't balancing the weapons with clear balance issues (A73, Couch, G5... ), but changing the balance of those weaps who were somehow better balanced (CYLO UAW, shotguns). But again, that is just my opinion...
