Re: Sentinel
Sentinel is seen similarly as webadmin in the game, and technically cannot be muted at this moment, other than "mutate command". However, when a player spams it, I can make it to check whether the player is clientsidedly muted and not to send anything to that client if that is the case.

Re: Sentinel
AoA are particularly bad for this.
The thing about a clientside mute is that's not a workable solution for admins. I can't afford to go muting people who are spamming Sentinel because I need to know what's being said.

Re: Sentinel
Can you not code a chat flood mutator?
If you say... hypothetical numbers here, more than 2 lines in 10 seconds, any more and you get blocked for a short time period. Moe than 2 lines in 10 sec would not hinder anyone in legitimate circumstances.
Workable?
I myself get annoyed occasionally when people will spam that. Especially people who spam shit like "VOTE CHAOS/POSEIDON" etc repeatedly, or the shorthand Marouq trigger, which results in twice the spammage.

There is lately quite big spam from certain people, yes.iRobot wrote:Can you not code a chat flood mutator?

Re: Sentinel
I believe there's a modification in UTComp which reduces or removes the delay between messages present in the original game. While that's all very well and good in competitive games where text chat is very limited and prevents annoyance, it seems that not everyone can be trusted to respect it.

Re: Sentinel
We all often see Sentinel spammers, and most of us did/do it too. Like me^^. But i know how annoying it can be. So what about a new kind of muting? If a player spamms Sentinel he get a "Sentinel-Mute", so he get ignored by Sentinel. But imo it would be better if you delete all phrases of him, then there would be no (Sentinel)spam anymore.

Re: Sentinel
Honestly, I lately don't really have time to deal with minor things like this. So it will rather end up disabling the chatbot completely.
