LDG Tournamment

idk if this has been done already in the past, but wouldn't it be cool if there was an LDG Tournament on one or all of the servers. Something to get the players together for I guess. For example, you could like schedule a day for the racing server to hold a tournament where one must race through different maps elimination-style I guess. If it goes well you could even hold it annually, but i might be thinking too far ahead. lol just an idea, thought it would be nice.

lol well it's just an idea, i wasn't expecting that many responses anyway lol

I don't see how we could do that... 1vs1 racing is not particularly interesting and thrilling. Something team-based would work better, but with racing only i'm not sure. The KD clan tried to host an Assault tournament some years ago with 6 or 8 clans (don't remember exactly) and it ended prematurely. So if we don't have solid teams participating it will probably not work; however we can still try to organize some matches between 2 teams punctually...

oh well I wasn't really implying one vs one, i actually had a team-based tournament in mind. you could announce it during regular games informing people that there is a tournament and to come to the forums for more information and to sign up for the tournament (also a great way to increase traffic to the forums) and set a date, time and tournament type (assault, racing, ballistic weapons). People could sign up for the tournament here on the forums (it could be told to them that they must be sure they are available to play on the tournament day). These are all just ideas.
