Fifty-nice machine pistol secondary function?

I had this questions for quite a while now:

If I press "F" and extend the fifty-nine machine pistol, then will it make any changes? better accuracy?

I couldn't see any noticeable difference no matter if it is in the extended or the closed up position.

Recoil decreases, hipfire spread increases. Or at least that's how it worked months ago. It probably doesn't work that way anymore.
