Mining ladders, then telling Spin that "i ask u not to knive and u dont listen

" as justification for breaking the rules.

We'll find out for sure when the proof is posted.
Edit: Wait, giz warned you for this?
Edit2: PM screenshot confirms.

John i kinda know what your saying not seeing the warning.I miss alot of chat when playing. As for Mines and Ladders.I dont think it any different then your next turn.If you move slow up at ladder you can see them set.If im running around a corner im dead .Bombom is great at that .Most everyone knows which maps they may be.If land mines are set they wont kill you until your up top.Gun Mines just go off even with a look.I have noticed that Land mines set on walls dont always go off .Thata a good thing .Vote

Im so sad to see where LDG is going to... Another absurd constraint.
Tell me please, where are we supposed to place those mines? In some farthest corner in order to not to make problems to anyone? And to hope that at least 1/1000 of em will be useful?
BTW. If we place mines next to ladders the way they can be seen from down, do we break rules?

I put forward my concerns to Azarael on xfire last night, basically saying the same.
The mines function in real life is two things. To block a route, or to catch someone by surprise. In game, by doing this, you're covering both aisles.
To have artificial rulings on what can and can't be done with weapons is a little too constrained. (Obviously pushing people off a map with HMC isn't in this category, so don't assume I'm disputing that)
Where do you draw the line? Simply saying "anything considered unfair is against the rules" is ridiculous, and way too open to interpretation.

To be bannable, the following must apply:
The strategy must be:
a) Easy or otherwise provide disproportionate effect for its required skill
b) Uncounterable, or only counterable under certain unreasonable conditions (having one of a few weapons in your loadout), even if you're aware of the strategy's use
c) Either unfixable or resulting in the enemy's permanent death
and d) You must have been warned consistently not to use it.
john's mining of the top of ladders satisfies all four.
If anyone's going to suggest radius checking for AutoLadder NavigationPoints, afaik that's not reliable.

It's counterable, you just use an alternate route. Similar to how you wouldn't attempt to take on a deployed minigun head on.
Coincidentally, sitting in a deployed turret does not take skill but gives huge gains, by your first stipulation, it's ban worthy?

That implies the existence of plenty of alternate routes. Oftentimes this cheap strat is used on maps like UrbanBay where there is no other way to access the area the ladder leads to.
Deployed weapons grant recoil reduction and some defensive bonus in exchange for making you static and unable to target anyone behind you. If you're attacked from behind you either forfeit the gun or die, to hold a position the enemy must attack it or you will be anticamped and you must physically attend to the weapon rather than placing it and forgetting about it. Sorry but not comparable.
