After you put the ping compensator on the server stuff is getting misplaced, floating ammo pick-ups, floating sentinels chasis, misplaced destroyables (either floating in air or changed position, see half open gates on Gasoline) and it turned last area of Proseidon into London by autumn by raising the water fog to the gameplay hight, (no damage dealing though) so you cant see a thing beyond 20m (in other words killing the game at the end).
Remove the thing or fix it so it wont screw stuff up

My extreme apologies to you and everyone. I was testing it last night and intended to remove it when I was finished. I unfortunately had to immediately leave and did not get to remove it like I intended.

Code: Select all
&& (Projectile(A) != None && !A.IsA('FlakShell') || Pawn(A) != None && Pawn(A).Health > 0)
I'd love to know how Ping Compensation causes the water level to rise.

The fog is actually a couple of properties in PlayerController.
Code: Select all
// Distance fog fading.
var color LastDistanceFogColor;
var float LastDistanceFogStart;
var float LastDistanceFogEnd;
var float CurrentDistanceFogEnd;
var float TimeSinceLastFogChange;
var int LastZone;
which is why you always see the fog of the current zone / volume (i.e looking at water from outside makes it show no fog etc.). One more fucking raytrace when calculating the fog instead would do ._.

I have no idea. It was like some properties of the water volume (fog/water entry effect) were higher then they supposed to be. And it was not only me having this problem (part of log below).
Code: Select all
