About my 7-days ban for racism.
Im no racist nor i wanted to say anything racist. My "run run nygga nygga" was supposed to be joke and I wouldnt say it if I knew it's considered racist.
Can in this case my ban be at least shortened?

I don't know if there is rule allowing any admin to kick and mute player for misspeling (saying 'lags' instead of lag whilst othe use of word lag got plural) as I experienced from you Azarael?Azarael wrote:Nope. Should have read the rules.
Can someone more objective give opinion?

Instant ban offenses at a glance:
Racism - 7 days.
3b) Racism and mockery of genocide are not tolerated. For the purposes of this rule, race also incorporates Jews, Arabs and similar, as well as variants such as "nigga". This rule will be enforced irrespective of whether your own race matches the race indicated by the word, as we don't find it acceptable for words to be "privileged" such that only a certain race can use them.

Re: Mirinda ban
First, you were kicked / muted under Rule 0 for deliberate annoyance. "Lags" is considered a troll and you broadcast quite clearly that you KNEW it was wrong but were going to troll with it anyway. I'm aware that there's been some irritation of my usage of admin powers to enforce a personal annoyance, so I'll say it this way: I've corrected people numerous times on this and while I don't expect non-native speakers of English to be perfect, a number of players (to name 3 who were doing it at the time, you, Spin and Calypto) continued saying "lags" or "lagg" deliberately to get on my wick. In these cases I feel entitled to mute - if you're going to deliberately try to irritate an admin, can you really expect to be left alone?
Second, don't you dare come here and question my objectivity. I hold my position for a reason. If you had even bothered to look through the previous ban cases for uses of racist language, you would know that the answer is always the same: use of any identified racist language is a consistent 7 day ban regardless of your intent.
Third, congratulations on breaking a forum rule by signing your posts. I can see your username quite fine by reading the left hand side, thanks. It seems clear to me that you simply don't bother to read the rules.

That's such a strange rule. Who came up with it?Azarael wrote: Third, congratulations on breaking a forum rule by signing your posts. I can see your username quite fine by reading the left hand side, thanks. It seems clear to me that you simply don't bother to read the rules.

Guess. The Signature entry (which can be disabled) is where text or images which you wish to attach to every post go. I prefer not to have to scroll to the end of a post only to be irritatingly reminded of who posted it.

@Jester
I had already seen this topic before, ty.
@Azarael
I signed posts cuz I treated them like e-mails and it was natural for me to sign.
I'm tired of arguing, the appeal leads nowhere.

It would have lead somewhere if you had a valid point, but you were clearly wrong. I think your best bet is to just accept the ban. 7 days isn't that long.

Yeah, I see how that could get annoying now.Azarael wrote:Guess. The Signature entry (which can be disabled) is where text or images which you wish to attach to every post go. I prefer not to have to scroll to the end of a post only to be irritatingly reminded of who posted it.
