The explanation is simple: locational damage was accidentally turned off, thus making hipfire ridiculous. Then hipfire was nerfed and the locational damage issue was noted. Now with locdmg back on, hipfire is too weak again, so it was buffed.

General

Changed weird method of adding ammo to BallisticWeapons by BallisticWeaponPickups (delegate set up by the mutator), moved it back to GiveAmmo where it is in the superclass. Please notify if there are any ammo issues. As a result of this change, you can no longer abuse the Speed combo in Loadout games to resupply or spawn new random weapons.

When Speed wears off, ModifyPlayer is called, which is responsible for providing some weapons and ammo to the player.

I didn't even know speed restored ammo. I thought it was berserk that did that.

@Damage System. It's really time to give definite answer.

I've reviewed the thawing, and decided to buff it significantly, so it actually reflects the difference between a player that thaws more and a player that thaws less rather than serve as a sideway to gain skill. Thus I'm not convinced that the saturation of thaw points at noob levels is really necessary. For now the thaw points kill conversion is not dependant on your efficiency.

With that in mind, and given the spectrum of skill we have on BW, I'm definitely not going for TAM style skill based system as Aza suggested (based solely on damage done / damage received). It's needlessly restrictive towards TAM style (no thawing) and a bit fragile towards ongoing balance changes. Thus not really fitting to Freon and our playerbase.

Never.

Scoping affects stability attributes of the weapon, recoil and in the case of all pure shotguns and the CYLO, it also affects the spread of the shotgun.

CX61 Tactical Rifle

Holographic now has a red dot as a reticle
Damage down to 20, DPS the same
Raise time now matches ARs
Hipfire expansion now matches ARs

Adjusted weapon offset to hide the stock
Reduced residual burn time to 1 second
Flamethrower consumes gas 25% faster
Healing gas is consumed 50% faster
these nerfs

ruining a great shooter
