Re: Ballistic Bro Changelogs Discussion
More doubleposted bitching:
MR-DR88's melee is still on secondary fire and not melee fire.
Definetly something needs fixed in balance between the Wilson/LeMat's and the D49's.
Wilsons kill in six bullets, which is only three trigger pulls since they're synchronized. (need 33% accuracy to kill without reload)
D49's take five primary bullets, or five trigger pulls. (need 42% accuracy to kill without reload, kill will take longer even with 100% accuracy, and has a much longer reload to boot)
Even the D49's secondary takes three bodyshots to kill, a full half of the rounds you have before a VERY lengthy reload, and only about breaks even with how fast the wilsons can drop someone. Granted, after two secondaries you can finish with a single primary if they're not overhealed/armoured, but people tend to avoid mixing primary shots and secondaries with the D49 without a reload between them to avoid dropping the hammer on an empty chamber.
And the wilsons have the shotgun to boot.
I'm tempted to suggest giving the D49 the AM67 treatment. Make it single-weild only, boost the damage, and possibly move it out of the sidearm slot.
Another idea might be to fiddle with how it operates in dual wield. Either make it fire synchronised to boost single-triggerpull damage, or rig it so the offhand gun only fires when the primary is empty, which would prevent needing to do an eons-long dual reload every time you shoot more than once, and allow high-accuracy players to end a firefight with only one gun needing reloaded. This latter option is how I used to use D49's with the old dual-wield system - just have one out most of the time, slap the dual-wield button to pull out the second if the first ever ran dry in a fight, but that obviously isn't very workable in the current patch.
Or maybe the wilson just needs nerfed.

Pistol balance is crap. I'll just go ahead and say it. So little focus has gone on the slot because it's so underused.

Yeah, no problem. Not really important.
Is mixmatched dual wield actually supposed to be disabled, or just effectively disabled in freon because people don't drop weapons and loadout is set up with all the pistols in the same slot?

No commentDisplacement has thoroughly broken this mode, so it's been reverted to its old handling.
